About 99.9% of my wardrobe consists of black, white & grey clothes.

So I went shopping in my attempt to inject some colour in to my clothing collection and I picked up some nice, cheap casual clothes from Valleygirl & Temt.

This is one of maybe 3 yellow things I own. I really must get more, I love yellow.
It's a lot more vivid in real life though. 

 This dress is actually red, it's coming up kind of orange on my computer screen.
I love when dresses come with belts!

 Plain white t-shirt. An essential in my books.

 Simple coral t-shirt with a pocket. I adore coral.

 This actually looks a lot nicer on, I promise!

 I found this nude cropped 3/4 blazer on the discount rack for $19.95.
The cut is so flattering.
My best friend would disagree with me here but you can never have enough nude items.
Never!

 I love lace.
So.Much.

Love the detailing.

 I hate mullet/hi-lo, but I love this.
The front of the top sits at my hips and the back covers my bum, which looks a little awkward with shorts so I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to wear it with yet but I couldn't resist.
It came in white and coral and I am so proud of myself for picking the coral.

I love the detail on the bust.

China Glaze & OPI

A couple of months ago I blogged about OzSale $6-$9 China Glaze sale, and the polish's that I purchased.

I realise it's been quite a while since then but I thought it would be better late than never to do a quick review on my experience.

I actually made 2 separate orders; one the day the sale started and another the next day as I decided I wanted more lol.
My first order included 8 nail polishes, and I was so excited about the Good Witch & Flying Dragon colours to arrive.

It took about 3 weeks but when they finally arrived, my heart sank.
As I was signing for the package I knew at least one bottle had broken as I could smell it before I even opened it.
Upon opening my package, this is what I came across...
(Thank goodness I noticed the smell and took the precaution of laying a towel down before I opened the package or my carpet would have some hideous stains from this!)

2 Broken bottles. And wouldn't you know it? The colours that broke were Good Witch & Flying Dragon!

I was incredibly disappointed in OzSale for their poor packaging.

It's pretty obvious that if you wrap 8 bottles of nail polish in one layer of bubble wrap and then pop them in a normal post bag, that something is bound to go wrong.
I personally think each bottle should have been individually wrapped & then posted in a box.
(Which coincidentally is how my second order arrived)

I promptly contacted OzSale, and after they received a picture as proof, they refunded my order in full.

It took a long time for OzSale to respond to me and an even longer time for them to actually follow through with the promised refund.

I'm satisfied with the refund as after giving my remaining unbroken bottles a good scrub with nail polish remover, they are good as new (except I can't read their shade names).

Overall it was a very long and drawn out affair dealing with OzSale and I can honestly say that unless they have some crazy amazing deal, I won't be buying from them again.

A week or so after the China Glaze sale, Catch Of The Day had a $10 OPI nail polish sale, from which I purchased 10 bottles.
I paid for my order in the morning and that evening my order was marked as 'processed' and the next morning it was marked as 'delivered'. The following day I received all 10 of my nail polishes, secure as anything and all unbroken.
I love that Catch of the Day don't make you wait until the sale has finished before they process and ship your order like your OzSale do.
It was a really easy and fast experience buying from them and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from their site again.

And that is my 2 cents!

Rokk Ebony

Rokk Ebony, as I found out yesterday while googling reviews of their product line, is actually a salon that have bought out their own product line.

From what I could gather, they have salons throughout Victoria & have won quite a few awards for their hairdressing skills.


While browsing through the aisles at coles the other day I came across this brand I've never heard of called Rokk Ebony.
They have shampoo, conditioner & various other products in the 'salon section' of the beauty aisle at coles.
Their shampoo & conditioner retail for $14.99 each which is quite reasonable but as I've always had trouble believing salon brand shampoo's are better, I overlooked them.
Then I saw that there was a Rokk Ebony pack on sale from $30 to $15. The pack included heat protection shampoo, heat protection conditioner, heat protection spray, a paddle brush & a hair drying turban.
I figured for that price I couldn't even get a cheaper brand shampoo, conditioner & heat protection spray so I snapped it up.
The fact that the packaging is so gorgeous certainly didn't hurt either.

I used the paddle brush immediately, upon feeling the material of the paddle brush I was wary, it felt very cheap-plasticy, but once I ran it through my hair I was sold.
It gets the knots out without ripping my hair out & leaves my hair feeling very soft & bouncy but not frizzy like so many other brushes do.

I used the shampoo & conditioner yesterday morning.
Let me tell you, they smell AMAZING.
I have never, ever smelled shampoo and conditioner so good.
I followed the instructions and did a double wash of my hair, and like the product says, you do not need much.
It lathered up very quickly and a little bit went a very long way.
I then conditioned, and I have to say, I did need a bit more than a 'small amount' like the bottle claims, but then again, I put conditioner on the top of my head and my scalp, even though I know you're not supposed to so that's probably why I needed more than I was supposed to.

Once I hopped out of the shower, I used my hair turban as opposed to the usual towel that ends up falling off my head.
I've had these turbans before and they really are fantastic.

I blow dried my hair with the aid of the heat protection spray and I was amazed to say the least.
This product is part of the heat protection range, not the volume range (which Rokk Ebony also has), but it gave my hair great volume.
It wasn't over the top volume, just bouncy & gorgeous. Usually when I use heat protection spray with my blow dryer and no other volumising product, I get pancake hair.
Together with my blow dryer, this product made my hair shiny and bouncy with none of the frizz or sticky product residue.

All in all I'd give the Rokk Ebony heat protection range a 9/10.
I loved the results so much that I went and bought another of the heat protection packs yesterday!
My only gripe with the line is that the shampoo and conditioner bottles are quite hard to get the product out of.
I had to take the lid off the conditioner and squeeze it out of the bottle as the squeezy lid thing that it came with just wouldn't allow any product through.
The shampoo squeeze lid was easier but still difficult.

I can't wait to try the other Rokk Ebony products & I have my eye on their UV Gloss Coat which apparently makes your hair super shiny.

I'd definitely recommend this line & I will certainly be using it again in the future!

$6 CHINA GLAZE !

I'm not 100% sure how much China Glaze nail polish sells for everywhere else, but here in Australia it's $15-$20 a bottle, so you can see why $6-$9 China Glaze makes me excited!

Over at OzSale there are so many polishes on sale; bright colours, neons, pastels, dark colours, metallics, glitters, top coats, base coats, cuticle oil & treatments.
Postage is flat rate $9, which isn't too bad if you're like me & went a little crazy.
